Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shankar is a British-American sitarist as well as a music producer. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the very first Indian-origin musician to be a presenter and performer at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Her childhood was spent bouncing between London to New Delhi. When she was only 13 the first time she performed in New Delhi took place. She graduated in 1999 from her high school studies at Encinitas CA. Anouskha is an aspiring young lady, but she has a very impressive career in recording and performing. She has been performing with her father in the stage for a long time. She released her debut album in 1998. released Anourag as her debut solo record. She released Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year following. In addition to performing in many of the biggest venues, she also has a long stage career. Anoushka Shankar's career is not only limited to music. In 2002 she published an autobiography titled Bapi The Love of My Live this is a picture-based biography, which gives a special respect to her dad Ravi Shankar. In addition, she has appeared in a number of films. In 2003, she acted in the film Dance Like a Man where she portrays the role of a teenage Bharat Natyam dancer. Her career continues to grow and she is expected to do many great things in the future. Anoushka shankar is an English born singer who travelled her early days between London, Delhi and California. She began studying music when she was nine years old and was a sitar player in celebration of the 75th anniversary her father's birth in Delhi four years later. Anoushka performed with her father throughout his global tour, gained a remarkable quantity of knowledge. In her teenage years she performed at Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. Her talent and musicality were acknowledged by the British parliament as among the finest at Asian Arts.
